Ballyholme Yacht Club is 14 miles / 23km (25-40 minutes drive) north-east from Belfast.

Getting to Bangor from the airports:

From Dublin International Airport

Taxi: A taxi from Dublin Airport to Bangor will cost £200-£300. A private transfer may be cheaper for large groups.
Public transport: Bus to Belfast, then train to Bangor.

    • There are 2 coach services from Dublin Airport to Belfast and you are advised to book in advance. Aircoach https://www.aircoach.ie Or Translink Ulsterbus www.translink.co.uk
    • If your inbound flight is delayed and you miss the coach departure you have booked, you should be permitted to get on the next coach that has seats available.
    • Take the courtesy shuttle bus from Belfast Europa bus centre to Belfast Lanyon Place train station. Take the train from Lanyon Place to Bangor. Trains depart every 30 minutes.
From Belfast International Airport (Aldergrove)

Taxi: A taxi from Belfast International Airport to Bangor will cost £65-£75.
Public transport: bus to Belfast, then train to Bangor.

    • Take bus 300a outside the airport arrivals door to Belfast Europa Bus Centre. Buses depart every 20 minutes.
    • Take the courtesy shuttle bus from Belfast Europa Bus Centre to Belfast Lanyon Place train station. Take the train from Lanyon Place to Bangor. Trains every 30 minutes.

    • You do not have to book online. You can pay on the airport bus and at the train station. If you book online, you can book the bus and train together as one ticket.
    • If you do not want to take the train, a taxi from Belfast Europa Bus Centre to Bangor will cost £30- £45.
From George Best Belfast City Airport

Taxi: A taxi from Belfast City Airport to Bangor will cost £25-£35.
Public transport: train to Bangor.

    • The closest train station to Belfast City Airport is Sydenham. Trains depart from Sydenham station to Bangor every 30 minutes. It is an 11 minute walk from the airport. Exit the airport site, turn right and walk along the dual carriageway pavement to the railway footbridge.
    • There are no ticket machines on the platform at Sydenham station. Pay the conductor for your ticket when you are on the train.

Bangor Train and Bus Station

Bangor has a combined rail and bus station. Ballyholme Yacht Club is about 30 mins walk from the Station. Taxi from the station to Club should be less than £5.00
